The Seattle Times: Travel: Thailand: Open arms, empty beaches

Interesting article in the paper about “the second wave” hitting Southern Thailand’s Andaman Coast tourism industry. Unaffected areas are hit hard by the loss of tourists to the area. Beaches actually look better than before, less litter, few people, and bargain deals for hotel and airfare.
