Three strikes and you're out

My alarm’s set at 5 in the morning but I want to get up at 7:30. In between is torture time. Beep… Beep… Beep… My sister forgot to turn her alarm clock off when she ran for the school bus. The clock makers really wanted to make sure you get up by keeping the alarm ringing. But if the clocks been ringing for more than an hour you’re probably dead or at least deaf. It doesn’t make any sense for it to go on that long. Why didn’t I get up and turn the thing off as soon as possible? Because I’m too lazy and I tried to ignore the noise. Bad idea.
I finally decided to get up. I left the alarm clock ringing, hoping that its owner would come back to find it still trying to wake the dead. Strike one for bad day.
Lunch came early. I earmarked the two hour lunch break for some studying but it turned out to be another torture session. I got vegetarian lasanga that partly filled me up. Greedy and thinking that a well fed body was crucial to concentration in class, I got two cheese burgers, fries, and an Oreo shake. Yet another bad idea. All that food made me dehydrated and sick. The stuffed stomach made me drowsy and tired. Total amount of money spent? Nearly thirteen dollars which isn’t a good deal at all. Strike two.
In Differential Equations, I snoozed through equations, failing to jot down some notes, unknowingly. In Technical Writing, I’d rather be sleeping than join the conversation about audience analysis.
Back home, I was completely exhuasted because I did not do anything productive and stuffed myself like a Thanksgiving turkey. Spent the rest of the day and night trying to fall asleep. Made the same mistake of not drinking enough water. Ugh. A whole day wasted. Strike three, I’m out.
