Technology Evaluation of Traffic Gauge® Device

Three-person team evaluated a device displaying real-time traffic information and potential improvements. Findings summarized in a two-page memo. 95% grade.

Design of US-2/SR-522 Interchange Bypass (Introduction to Transportation Engineering course)

Four-member team designed a bypass to move traffic efficiently through the city of Monroe. Geometric and pavement design fit the constraints of the site and for the most economical solution. 3.6 project grade and 3.4 course grade.

Traffic Engineering Intern, King County DOT, Road Services Division June–September 2007

Completed very high quality fieldwork for the High Accident Locations/High Accident Road Segments (HAL/HARS) update in less time than expected. Field observations and information collected assisted traffic engineers in developing countermeasures to improve safety for road users. Assisted engineers with the layout of channelization on the field.

Assistant Manager/Owner, Quiznos, Renton Highlands and Capitol Hill Seattle 2005 to Present

Design marketing materials for store promotion. Install and maintain computer systems and networks (Windows, Mac, Linux) including CCTV systems. Develop software for storing call-in delivery orders. Honest, efficient, and accurate bookkeeping and inventory management. Coordinated team members for quick and quality customer service.

Medical Records Office Volunteer, Providence Marionwood Nursing Home, Issaquah, WA 2004

Developed an intrinsic motivation to accomplish assigned tasks, even with an overwhelming amount of loose medical records. Appreciated by coordinator for teamwork spirit, obedience, and sense of initiative.

Oregon ITE Traffic Bowl, Portland, OR, UW Team Member 2006 Participant, 2007 Third Place

Competed in Jeopardy style game covering all topics of transportation. Teams win cash prizes for their ITE chapter.

Annual ITE Coffee Shop Traffic Count, Seattle, WA March 2007 and April 2008

Collected drive-through and parking volumes at a participating coffee shop over a two-hour period.

Leader and Advisor, Suannon Web Team (Student Organization), Thailand April 2003 to Present

Co-founded school’s first organized student-run news website and forum. Advised student government on using IT for student’s benefit. Lead a team of dedicated students and alumni in the operation of the website (suannonweb.com).
